SOCIAL MEDIA planned posts

INSTAGRAM - as the artist

I finally managed to create an instagram account without my email address being rejected!
Planned posts:

  • interview webisodes
  • BTS footage/pics (some front facing camera ones, like for Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz
  • announcement of the song release

TWITTER - as a student self-promoting their music video

Planned posts:

  • small intro post
  • updates on filming and BTS pics/footage
  • Some tweets about where inspiration/influence for the vid comes from, with pics

This is a starting point...
As you begin to post, add screenshots to a ppt for each social to make it easy to evidence what you've done (+ pics will be useful for Eval later). Be thinking about opportunities to generate actual/'faked' comments/interactions too.
As with merch, link this post to your research into what's typical for music artists (+ other positions - record label etc - depending on roles you've picked) with a post hyperlink. Don't forget to include POSSIBLE INFLUENCES at the top of a sep research post. You've looked briefly at Aem's existing output, now widen (sep post remember) to other egs. This will link well with website rsch. D Mode (sort of electropop!) are a great eg; their recent concert film highlights their last tour's fan-centric approach (eg fan takeover of their FB for each city they played)
List a range of ideas/themes (for each one separately; use colour or just bold to indicate from 1st list what will be replicated (whether tweaked or not) in the 2nd) on what you'll post over time
Separately indicate idea/s for viral content to help link vid/site and presumably dpak (see Eval Q2!!!). We've discussed ideas already; you also mentioned the game today which might be a 2nd left 'incomplete' (launched before you finish but no 'winners' posted!)
Also use this as an opportunity to engage with web 2.0 theory - really quite simple, but needs use to be recalled easily!! (MLang section) ... and AUD (U+G for starters)
